Lights for Lifeline
Friday 15 Nov 2019 |
The Festive Season is the busiest time of the year for Lifeline WA. It is the time of the year where levels of anxiety, depression and suicide increase. It is also a time of giving and, for many Australians, appreciating what they have in the company of loved ones. Your contribution to this campaign will help us train new Telephone Crisis Support Volunteers and continue to provide our valued existing Volunteers with ongoing training and support so that they can help the thousands of people who call 13 11 14 for help.
The Lights for Lifeline tree, a beacon of hope, will be returning to Yagan Square in 2019. Lit with more than 47,000 lights, the tree represents the number of Western Australians who found support from Lifeline WA by calling 13 11 14 over the last 12 months.
We will be turning on the lights for the Lights for Lifeline Christmes tree on Friday 15 November
and would love for you to bring your friends and family along to join us.
We invite you to give the gift of life this Christmas.
You can help by dedicating your Christmas tree and lights to the campaign or donating
. We encourage everyone to take pictures of their displays and share them on social media using #lightsforlifeline.
