About the event
Lifeline WA is heading to Broome on 30 March with two free, practical workshops — one focused on recognising and responding to domestic and family violence, and one on understanding suicide and how to have life-saving conversations in community.
Whether you want to better understand the warning signs of abuse, learn how to ask someone if they’re thinking about suicide, or simply show up more confidently for the people around you — these workshops will give you the skills to do exactly that.
Registrations are essential as places are strictly limited.

Talking about suicide for community
Monday 30 March | 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Contextualised with Aboriginal subject matter experts, this workshop gives you the foundational knowledge to understand and respond to suicide in community. Topics covered include:
- Should we talk about suicide?
- How common are suicide thoughts and behaviours?
- Can suicide be prevented?
- What can I do to help?
Attendees will learn warning signs, how to ask someone directly if they are thinking about suicide, and how to connect them with further support.
