Build a Safer Future In Mining
Mining is a challenging industry, and psychological safety is just as important as physical safety. This short eLearning program is designed to give students practical knowledge they can take into their studies, placements, and future workplaces.
Developed by Lifeline WA, funded by MARS and delivered in partnership with Curtin University’s WA School of Mines, the program introduces psychosocial hazards in the workplace. You’ll learn what they are, what they can look like, and how everyone can play a role in creating safer, more supportive environments.
- Free and voluntary for WASM students and staff
- Online and self-paced
- Takes around 2 hours to complete
- Designed for people entering or working in the mining industry
- Helps build awareness of Australian workplace health, safety and wellbeing expectations
