Free Training in Geraldton

On the 16th of December 2025, Lifeline WA will be delivering two free workshops in Geraldton, sponsored by WA Primary Health Alliance. You’re invited to join these sessions, designed to strengthen your skills, expand your network, and help create positive change in your community.

Workshop 1: 2-hour DV-aware

Geraldton Regional Library
10.00am – 12.00pm

Members of the community can attend a free introductory session to understand domestic and family violence. Attendees will learn the different signs and forms of abuse, and what to do if encountering someone who is experiencing domestic and family violence.

Workshop 2: Talking About Suicide for Community

Geraldton Regional Library
1.00pm – 3.00pm

Lifeline WA has worked with Aboriginal subject matter experts to contextualise one of our most important workshops, Talking About Suicide.

In the workshop, we talk about the following questions:

• Should we talk about suicide?
• How common are suicide thoughts and behaviours?
• Can suicide be prevented?
• What can I do to help?

Attendees will gain foundational knowledge about suicide amongst Aboriginal people, including warning signs, how to ask someone if they are thinking about suicide, and ways to connect the person with further support.
