Hart & Co. Lifeline WA Golf Day 2024: Driving change and supporting Western Australians in crisis

On Monday, 11th November 2024, we held our annual Hart & Co Lifeline WA Golf Day. Thank you to the generous support of our guests, who helped us raise an incredible $64,012.70. These funds make a significant impact, which helps us continue to support the 97,925 West Australians who reached out for help last year.

For more than 46 years, Rick Hart has been synonymous with the Western Australian appliances landscape. Beyond business, the Hart family has a strong commitment to giving back to the community. Rick Hart first partnered with Lifeline WA over a decade ago, and has since raised over $600,000. These essential funds have enabled us to continue training our volunteer Crisis Supporters – ensuring that no one has to struggle alone.

The event

After a day of networking and friendly competition on the green, guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner, followed by a silent auction and the infamous Hartucky Derby. Our MC for the evening, Mark Readings (inset image) brought his signature charm and professionalism to enrich the experience for guests.

Our guest speaker, Angie Bain (main image), Head of Wellbeing for the Fremantle Dockers, captivated the audience with insights from her extensive career supporting elite athletes across netball, hockey, and cricket.

Making a Difference

The $64,012.70 raised during the Golf Day event will enable Lifeline WA to continue answering calls for help and providing critical support to those in crisis. The event served as a poignant reminder that together, we can create a future where fewer lives are lost to suicide.

• 1,641 calls to help seekers could be supported.
• 16 volunteers could be fully trained as Crisis Supporters.
