Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) in the Workplace is a package of: 
  1. The 2-hour DV-aware workshop, which provides foundational knowledge about FDV in a time efficient format. 
  2. An additional session about responding in a workplace setting when a colleague may be experiencing FDV. 
Course Description
  • Describe the different forms of abuse that constitute family and domestic violence 
  • Explain the linkages between power and control and FDV 
  • Describe what you can do if you know someone who is experiencing FDV 
  • Recognise how FDV impacts employees and what can be done to assist 
  • Review relevant FDV processes and leave entitlements (for public sector organisations, this includes the implementation guidelines) 
  • Discuss options for workplace safety planning 
Who will benefit from this training? 
  • Frontline managers, contact officers and other first points of contact for staff experiencing family and domestic violence. 
  • All employees to increase understanding of FDV.
