Course Description:
LivingWorks safeTALK provides confidence and practical skills to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide and take action by connecting them to safety. The “safe” in safeTALK stands for Suicide Alertness for Everyone. Participants learn simple, powerful steps to recognise signs of suicide, start the conversation, and connect someone to further support.
Objectives
- Notice and respond to invitations for help.
- Practice open, direct conversations about suicide.
- Explore how your attitudes and beliefs can affect your ability to help.
- Identify available resources and connect people with further care and support.
Who will benefit from this training?
- Anyone aged 15 years or older who wants to help keep people around them safe from suicide.
