Course Description:
Designed for team leaders, supervisors and managers. Identify and mitigate psychosocial hazards and risks and improve your psychosocial safety climate.
Psychosocial workplace safety is just as crucial as physical safety, but it can be less clear how to address it. This workshop provides key understanding of psychosocial safety responsibilities under current workplace health and safety legislation in Western Australia. It equips participants with the knowledge and tools to identify and mitigate psychosocial hazards and risks, while strengthening the overall psychological safety climate within their organisation.
Objectives
- Describe the responsibilities and rationale for identifying and mitigating workplace psychosocial hazards and risks.
- Identify common psychosocial hazards and risks and link them to appropriate control measures.
- Examine the positive duty to prevent workplace sexual harassment and other unlawful behaviours.
- Recognise the role of leadership attitudes and behaviours and develop an action plan to contribute to the psychosocial safety climate of the organisation.
