Course Description:
LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) equips participants with confidence, knowledge and practical skills to support individuals who may be at risk of suicide.
Across more than 30 countries, millions have been trained in LivingWorks ASIST to recognise signs of suicide, offer support, and connect people to safety. Led by certified LivingWorks Trainers, you’ll learn in an engaging, safe and supportive environment.
Who will benefit from this training?
- Anyone 16 years or older who wants to feel prepared to recognise when someone may be thinking of suicide, have a supportive conversation, and learn how to help someone move towards safety.
- You don’t need a professional background to attend. Anyone can learn Suicide First-Aid Helper skills. Most people who experience suicide thoughts first reach out to family, friends, coworkers or someone they trust in their community.
