Course Description:
R U OK? Day is about more than one day a year. Life’s ups and downs happen every day for our friends, family members and colleagues. Regular, meaningful conversations can help prevent small issues from becoming bigger challenges. These conversations build trust and let others know they can reach out when they’re struggling.
At Lifeline, we understand the positive impacts a simple conversation can make. In this session, we’ll share practical communication tips to help you ask, R U OK? in a way that truly matters.
Objectives
- Describe the purpose and meaning of R U OK? Day.
- Explore the steps to Ask R U OK? in a meaningful way, on the day and into the future.
- Identify next steps to support an individual who isn’t OK and connect them to appropriate supports.
Who will benefit from this training?
- Anyone can benefit from this session. A great way to enhance the meaning of your R U OK? Day event.
