Mental Health First Aid equips adults with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond to a friend, family member, co-worker, or other adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. Participants learn how to approach someone they are concerned about, initiate a conversation, offer initial support and information and encourage the person to seek help.
Topics include depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use disorders, thoughts of suicide, panic attacks, and providing support after a traumatic event. The course is led by a MHFA trained and Licenced Standard MHFA Instructor.
