Course Description:

This is a practical introductory toolkit session for young people aged 16 and above. In this session, participants will learn about the services Lifeline offers, a range of reasons young people may use crisis support, and how it can help. They will also explore basic steps on how to check in with a friend and encourage them to seek further support.

Objectives 
  • Describe what to expect when a help seeker calls, texts, or chats online with Lifeline.
  • Recognise signs that they or one of their peers may need support.
  • Encourage appropriate help seeking (such as talking to a trusted adult).

 

Who will benefit from this training? 

  • Young people aged 16 and older.
  • This can include schools, youth services and sporting clubs.
